HKCAAVQ enters into Memorandum of Understanding with Korean Skills Quality Authority (KSQA)
The Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Korean Skills Quality Authority (KSQA) in August 2020, as its second collaborating partner in the international arena with the purview in quality assurance of VET.  This signing of MoU came after two years of in-depth discussions and fruitful exchange between the two agencies.   The two agencies share similar missions and institutional objectives and have a common interest in the development and promotion of good practices in VET.  Through this MoU, both agencies agree to work closely together toward the development of quality VET in each other’s jurisdiction.      Established in 2015, KSQA, an affiliate of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, is a specialized evaluation and assessment organization leading job competency development in the Republic of Korea. It aims to contribute to strengthening the national competitiveness and competency based society by harmonizing fair and objective evaluation, systematic training, promoting quality training and strict blocking of fraudulent training. INQAAHE capacity building project: Toolkit to support quality assurance agencies to address academic integrity and contract cheating
The new Toolkit was developed as the result of an International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) Capacity Building Project; and also the work of the Steering Group formed under the Quality Beyond Boundaries (QBBG).   The QBBG project steering group members comprise:   Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), Dubai Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), United Kingdom Committee for Private Education, Skills Future Singapore Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ), Hong Kong SAR, The People’s Republic of China Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), Malaysia Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), United States This Academic Integrity Toolkit has been designed to support quality assurance agencies implement a cycle of activities to enhance their sector’s academic integrity frameworks. The toolkit brings together examples from higher education providers, quality assurance agencies and other groups committed to promoting academic integrity. A list of high quality resources is provided at the end of this toolkit.

Appointment of Deputy Executive Director (VPET)

HKCAAVQ Forum on “Meeting the Challenges with Quality Assurance, Quality Enhancement and Excellence – From Contingencies to Norms” would be rescheduled from 29 July 2020 to 21 October 2020.
