HKCAAVQ Council Member Professor Hau Kit-tai elected IAAP Fellow

Council Member of HKCAAVQ, Professor Hau Kit-tai, has been elected Fellow of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP) at the International Congresses of Applied Psychology held in Montreal, Canada in June 2018.   Professor Hau is one of the first two Hong Kong scholars to receive this honour.  The rank of Fellow is the highest level of membership in IAAP, which is presented every four years to honour distinguished psychologists who have made substantial contributions to applied psychology.

Professor Hau is Choh-Ming Li Professor of Educational Psychology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Fellow of the American Educational Research Association. He was the former vice-president of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and past-President (2010-2014) of the Educational Psychology Division, International Association of Applied Psychology.   Professor Hau was appointed as a Council Member of HKCAAVQ in 2013 and is currently serving.  He is also a member of the Qualifications and Accreditation Committee (QAC) and Personnel and Administration Committee (PAC) of the HKCAAVQ Council.
