HKCAAVQ is pleased to announce the renewal of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), since the two agencies entered into a MoU in 2016.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Dr Irene Ioannakis, Commissioner for Regulatory Operations of ASQA, and Mr Albert Chow, Executive Director of HKCAAVQ, in Sydney, Australia on 27 November, 2019.
The MoU further strengthens the collaborative relationship of ASQA and HKCAAVQ in terms of improving the quality of vocational education and training in Australia and Hong Kong. With the implementation of the MoU, both parties will work even closer on sharing of good practices in quality assurance and regulatory approaches and exchange of information relating to vocational education and training (VET) in Australia and Hong Kong.
ASQA is the national regulator for Australia’s vocational education and training sector, administering legislation to the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (NVR Act). It aims at providing for national consistency in the regulation of VET and enhancing quality, flexibility and innovation in VET in Australia.
