The first HKCAAVQ Roundtable of 2026 was hosted on 2 February, attended by participants including Council Members and professional staff of HKCAAVQ, as well as representatives from the Qualifications Framework Secretariat (QFS).
Mr Steve Lai, General Manager of QFS, delivered a presentation entitled “Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF)”. In his address, Mr Lai provided a comprehensive overview of the QF and the work of QFS, and shared insights into the strategic development of the QF. He highlighted how the QF can be leveraged to further advance VPET across different educational levels, support the manpower needs of diverse industries, and strengthen collaboration with the Chinese Mainland. The presentation concluded with an engaging Q&A session, during which Mr. Lai responded to participants’ questions and fostered a meaningful exchange of ideas.
As the session concluded, Mr Albert Chow, Executive Director of HKCAAVQ, presented a commemorative souvenir to Mr Steve Lai in recognition of his valuable insights.
