               Joint conference with FSTE on Striving for                 ၾІ༟৷ഃ઺ԃᑌຑΥ፬մ
               Quality Education                                          ϋึᙄ


               On 1 June 2018, HKCAAVQ again joined as an Associate Organiser   ൙ᄲ҅׵2018ϋ6˜1˚dΎϣၾІ༟
               of this significant annual conference of the Federation for Self-  ৷ഃ઺ԃᑌຑΥ፬մϋึᙄf݊ϣึᙄ
               financing Tertiary Education (FSTE), themed  “Striving for Quality   ৿࠰ಥଣʈɽኪߎ⯰ᝄࣧ෤ᑘБdԨ˸
               Education” at the PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus.               ˜৛Ӌՙ൳Ꮄሯ઺ԃ™މึᙄ˴ᕚf

               Professor Peter Yuen, Chairman of the FSTE, and Mr Albert Chow,   І༟৷ഃ઺ԃᑌຑ˴ࢩԤ௹˖઺બd˸
               Executive Director of HKCAAVQ, made welcoming address and   ʿ൙ᄲ҅ᐼ฀ԫմᅅԞ΋͛dʱйމึ
               opening remarks at the beginning of the conference. In his keynote   ᙄߧᛇڎᗘʿක࿇ᗘfІ༟ਖ਼ɪ઺ԃ։
               speech, Professor Anthony Cheung, Chairman of the Committee   ࡰึ˴ࢩੵފԄ઺બՉܝίՉਖ਼ᕚစ๖
               on Self-financing Post-secondary Education, gave an overview of   ຅ʕdఱІ༟ਖ਼ɪ઺ԃٙ௰อҖැʿ೯
               self-financing  post-secondary  education’s  latest  landscape  and   ࢝Ъ̈ᙕࠑd˸ʿఱ˕౪৫ࣧʿኪ͛d
               development, and shared his observations and suggested possible   ձุޢڗჃ೯࢝ʱԮՉ޶جf
               ways forward for raising the support for institutions and students as
               well as the future development of the sector.

               The Conference aims at facilitating the interflow of good   І༟৷ഃ઺ԃᑌຑմϋึᙄϙίڮආ
               practices in quality assurance and pedagogy, student support   ΢˙ίሯ९ڭᗇe઺ኪجeኪ͛˕౪ʿ
               and staff development. The Conference was attended by over   ઺ࢪ೯࢝˙ࠦٙʹݴf݊ϣึᙄіˏགྷ
               200 representatives of the higher education, and vocational and   ɚϵΤԸІ΢ਖ਼ɪ৫ࣧe˸ʿᔖุʿਖ਼
