In October 2018, during our visits to the University of Macau and ׵2018ϋ10˜d൙ᄲ҅ʱйՑஞዦژɽ
Macao Polytechnic Institute, representatives of HKCAAVQ and the ኪʿዦژଣʈኪ৫fᕐ˙ఱዦژतйБ
two higher education institutions discussed about the implications ݁ਜִ݁Ϙۃ཯̺dʊ׵2018ϋ8˜͛
and opportunities brought about by the Macao SAR Government’s ࣖٙอࡌࠈ৷ഃ઺ԃجɨٙሯ९ڭᗇج
promulgation of a new set of guidelines accompanying the ஝ձܸˏdމዦژ৷ഃ઺ԃޢ੭Ը̙ঐ
implementation of Macao Higher Education Law effective from ٙᅂᚤձዚ༾dʹ౬จԈfϞᗫ৫ࣧ࿁
August 2018. HKCAAVQ’s contributions to the quality assurance ൙ᄲ҅ίዦژ৷ഃ઺ԃޢሯ९ڭᗇ˙ࠦ
of the higher education in Macao was appreciated by the relevant ٙʈЪdʚ˸ٵ֛f
stakeholders in Macao.
On the local front, HKCAAVQ organised our Annual Event in ί͉ή൙ᄲ؂ਕ˙ࠦd׵2018ϋ11˜d
November 2018 jointly with the Education Bureau, aimed at ൙ᄲ҅ၾ઺ԃ҅ᑌΥᑘБմϋݺਗdϙ
promoting the understanding and appreciation by our stakeholders ίપᄿ࠰ಥ༟ዝݖ࿴dආɓӉ౤ʺ΢ܵ
of the latest development of HKQF and in particular the launch of ΅٫࿁༟ዝݖ࿴௰อ೯࢝ٙə༆ձႩ
the Credit Accumulation and Transfer (CAT) centralised database Νfݺਗࠠᓃ͵ܼ̍༟ዝΤ̅ɪኪʱଢ଼
on the QR. Underpinning the HKQF, the objective of this initiative by ጐʿᔷ୅༟ࣘࢫ઼ٙ͜ᄃόf༟ࣘࢫ͟
Education Bureau is to enhance transparency and dissemination of ઺ԃ҅݁ഄપਗdϙί౤৷ኪʱᔷ୅༟
credit transfer information and articulation arrangements between ࣘձʔΝ৫ࣧʿሙ೻მટτરٙீ׼
institutions and programmes for easy reference by learners in ܓʿ༟ৃݴஷdᜫ͉ಥኪࡰһ࢙׸ਞϽ
Hong Kong. To upkeep the momentum, HKCAAVQ has initiated ޴ᗫ༟ࣘdЪ̈׼౽Ҩ኿fމᆽڭϞᗫ
our communication and engagement strategy and held a series ݁ഄБʘϞࣖd൙ᄲ҅ʊ̋੶๖ஷձஹ
of information briefing to provide further advice and assistance to ᖩdᑘ፬༟ৃᑺࢭdމϞጳሳܵ΅٫౤
interested stakeholders. ԶආɓӉٙจԈձ՘пf
In September 2018, HKCAAVQ launched the new service for the މ ৣ Υ઺ ԃ ҅ ٙ อણ ݄d׵2018ϋ9
accreditation of assessment agencies for professional qualifications ˜d൙ᄲ҅પ̈ਖ਼ุ༟ዝ൙Пዚ࿴൙ᄲ
in support of the Education Bureau’s initiative. This came after the ؂ਕfίપ̈อ؂ਕ˸΋d൙ᄲ҅ಀආ
completion of the pilot projects with the Hong Kong Institute of Б΋ኬࠇྌdಁ࠰ಥึࠇࢪʮึʿऎԫ
Certified Public Accountants and the Marine Department of Hong ஈٙϞᗫਖ਼ุ༟ዝආБਞ๫޼Ӻձᄲ
Kong SAR Government. In the near future, HKCAAVQ would continue ൖd΋ኬࠇྌҁတഐҼܝd൙ᄲ҅֐પ
to work closely with QFS in the implementation of this initiative. ̈อ؂ਕf͊Ըd൙ᄲ҅ၾ༟ዝݖ࿴।

The Qualifications Assessment service of HKCAAVQ saw an ׵ཀ̘ɓϋd൙ᄲ҅ٙኪዝ൙П؂ਕ፽
increased demand from local and overseas applicants over the ੻ᜑഹᄣڗdԸІ͉ήձऎ̮ٙ͡ሗ֚
past year. The 24X7 service hours of the i-Portal and its user- ᅰܵᚃɪʺfၣɪኪዝ൙П؂ਕ̨̻d
friendly interface that guides the application procedure and evidence Ό˂ࡉ24ʃࣛ؂ਕdӻ୕ٙʧࠦʾഛ׸
requirements are welcomed by applicants. ͜dˏኬ͡ሗ٫Ⴠ׸ҁϓ΢ࡈӉ᜷ʿΐ

The Professional Training Workshop in Quality Assurance, as a ׵2019ϋ3˜11Ї15˚d൙ᄲ҅ୋɚϣ
second offering, took place on 11-15 March 2019 and again saw an ᑘ፬ሯ९ڭᗇਖ਼ุ੃৅ʈЪѥf൙ᄲ҅
increased demand with participants from Australia, Japan, Philippines, ఃԈ݊ϣʈЪѥіˏһεሯ९ڭᗇΝ
Macao and Hong Kong. The 5-day workshop fostered experience ʈձਖ਼ุɛɻਞ̋d˼ࡁԸІዦݲe˚
sharing in internal and external quality assurance, and on-going ͉eിܛႷeዦژձ࠰ಥfʈЪѥމಂ5
engagement with QA practitioners in the region and beyond. ˂d౤ԶϞ̨̻ࣖdڮආਞၾ٫޴ʝʹ
