Enhancement of Higher Education (NIAD-
QE) of Japan

HKCAAVQ and NIAD-QE entered into a Memorandum of ൙ᄲ҅ၾ˚͉ዹͭБ݁جɛɽኪҷࠧ˕
Understanding in January 2016 as partner organisations with the ౪ ኪЗબၾዚ࿴ί2016ϋ1˜ࠈͭሓ༆
aim of, among others, establishing a strategic alliance to enhance ௪ҙ፽dϓމΥЪྫМdߧɢܔͭ኷ଫ
the operation of external quality assurance in both jurisdictions. ᑌຑd˸ʿ̋੶࿁̮ሯ९ڭᗇٙʈЪf
Both parties recognise the value of staff exchanges as a means ᕐ˙ႩΝࡰʈʹݴϞпڮආ༟ৃʱԮʿ
of exchanging information and expertise as well as providing ຾᜕ʹݴd͵̙މࡰʈ౤Զ೯࢝ዚ༾f
developmental opportunities for staff.

A Registrar of HKCAAVQ visited NIAD-QE’s Takebashi Office and ൙ᄲ҅൙ᄲ˴΂ί2018ϋ6˜11Ї14˚
Kodaira Office in Tokyo from 11 to 14 June 2018. At the informative ಂගிஞ˚͉ዹͭБ݁جɛɽኪҷࠧ˕
briefings, in-depth information about NIAD-QE’s evaluation and ౪ ኪЗબၾዚ࿴З׵؇ԯ϶዗ձʃ̻ٙ
degree-awarding activities in the higher education sector in Japan ፬ԫஈf˼ࡁஷཀʫ࢙ᔮబٙᔊʧึd
was shared. HKCAAVQ was invited to conduct presentations on ଉɝʱԮՉ׵˚͉৷ഃ઺ԃޢйٙ൙ᛠ
HKCAAVQ accreditation in support of the Hong Kong Qualifications ձኪЗબၾʈЪi൙ᄲ҅͵աᒗʧୗ༟
Framework (QF) and Qualifications Register (QR), including the new ዝݖ࿴ձ༟ዝΤ̅Ⴉ̙ٙ൙ᄲʈЪd̍
developments such as revised accreditation standards and Generic ܼ൙ᄲᅺ๟ࡌࠈ͉e༟ዝॴйஷܸ͜ᅺ
Level Descriptors, and the launch of accreditation service for online ၾක࢝ၣɪሙ೻൙ᄲ؂ਕഃอ೯࢝f
programmes.
