Accreditation Service for Collaborative ൙ᄲ҅՘፬ሙ೻൙ᄲ
Programmes

Amid the positive response from the operators who have been ᛠ׵Ϟᐄ፬٫࿁ක፬՘፬ሙ೻ˀᏐ͍
indicating their intention to jointly offer collaborative programmes, ࠦd൙ᄲ҅ʊఱ೯͉࢝ήᑌ཯༟ዝሙ೻
HKCAAVQ has engaged in extensive desktop research, and indepth ൙ᄲආБ༉୚޼ӺdԨၾ޴ᗫܵ΅٫ଉ
dialogue and discussions with relevant stakeholders in developing ɝ࿁༑ʿ๖ஷf࣬ኽ൙ᄲ҅ɽึ׵2019
new service for the accreditation of collaborative programmes. ϋ1˜ٙӔᙄd൙ᄲ҅ਗ਼׵2019ϋ10˜
With the approval by the HKCAAVQ Council in January 2019, the ක֐౤ԶϞᗫሙ೻ٙ൙ᄲ؂ਕfϤධ൙
accreditation service for collaborative programmes will be launched ᄲ؂ਕቇ͜׵ί࠰ಥᐄ፬ٙᑌ཯༟ዝ
in October 2019. This new service is for joint programmes leading ሙ೻d͟Շගዚ࿴ΝࣛЪމሙ೻ٙᐄ
to awards jointly conferred and delivered in Hong Kong by two ፬٫dԨ΍Ν཯બሙ೻ٙ༟ዝfՇගዚ
institutions as award granting bodies and operators. Both institutions ࿴̀඲Ո௪Ϟࣖٙ˜ڋӉ൙П™e˜৫ࣧ
should have valid Initial Evaluation, Institutional Review, Programme ൙ᄲ™e˜ኪ߅ᇍఖ൙ᄲ™אІБ൙ᄲ༟
Area Accreditation or self-accrediting status. At least one of the ࣸfՉʕɓගዚ࿴̀඲͉݊ήᐄ፬٫f
collaborative partners is a local operator. For non-local institution ڢ͉ήᐄ፬٫̀඲౤Զᗇ׼dᜑͪՉ׵
acting as the partner institution, it should prove its self-accrediting הί਷࢕ŊήਜdϞІБ൙ᄲ༟ࣸf׵
power in its home country/region. At this stage, the accreditation is ତචݬd൙ᄲ؂ਕ̥ቇ͜׵͟Շගዚ࿴
confined to joint programmes offered by two granting bodies. ΝࣛЪމ༟ዝ཯બዚ࿴ٙ՘Ъሙ೻f

Consultancy Work in Macao ίዦژٙᚥਪ؂ਕʈЪ

Following the promulgation of the revised Higher Education Law of the ᎇഹዦژतйБ݁ਜִ݁׵2018ϋ8˜
Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) on 8 August 2018, and 8˚ࡌࠈ৷ഃ઺ԃجdί઺ԃ҅҅ڗٙ
with prior approval of the Secretary for Education, HKCAAVQ was ԫ΋ҭࡘɨd൙ᄲ҅ա։ৄމዦژɓ
commissioned for the provision of consultancy services to conduct ה৷ഃ઺ԃዚ࿴౤Զᚥਪ؂ਕdމՉ
program reviews of the degree programmes of an higher education 2019/20ϋܓٙኪɻኪЗሙ೻ආБሙ೻
institution in Macao for the academic year 2019/20. The program ൙ᛠf൙ᄲ҅ٙϞᗫ൙ᛠʈЪdɗܲዦ
reviews conducted by HKCAAVQ for the institution concerned are ژ৷ഃ઺ԃ҅(DSES)཯̺ٙ৷ഃ઺ԃ
to use the new Higher Education Quality Assurance Evaluation ९ሯ൙ᛠʘሙ೻ᄲൖܸˏ‘ආБf
Guidelines developed by the Higher Education Bureau (DSES) of
Macao.
