               In addition to accreditation under the QF, HKCAAVQ provides a range   ৰ༟ዝݖ࿴ɨٙ൙ᄲ؂ਕ̮d൙ᄲ҅͵
               of assessment services and consultancy services as authorised under   աৄ઺ԃ҅אՉ˼௅ژאዚ࿴d౤Զ΢
               any other enactment and/or by the Secretary for Education. For   ၇൙ࣨձᚥਪ؂ਕdԷνm
               examples:

               (a)   The provision of professional advice to the Registrar of Nonlocal   (a)   ఱڢ͉ήሙ೻ঐщୌՐڢ͉ή
                    Higher and Professional Education Courses (the Registrar) in   ৷ഃʿਖ਼ุ઺ԃ€஝၍ૢԷ‘
                    the assessment of non-local courses registered or exempted   €ୋ493௝ٙࠅӋϓމൗ̅ሙ೻
                    from registration under the Non-local Higher and Professional   אᐏᒀеሙ೻dΣڢ͉ήሙ೻ൗ̅
                    Education (Regulation) Ordinance (Cap. 493). The approval of   ஈஈڗ౤Զਖ਼ุจԈfஈڗึఱӊ
                    registration or exemption from registration of a non-local course   ධൗ̅ʿᐏᒀеൗ̅͡ሗЪ௰୞
                    under Cap. 493 rests with the Registrar.                   Ӕ֛f


               (b)   The  provision  of  expert  advice  to  the  Labour  and  Welfare   (b)   ఱሙ೻ঐщൗ̅މܵᚃආࡌਿ͉
                    Bureau (LWB), the final approval authority of the Continuing   ̙ᐏ೯ᒔಛධሙ೻dΣ௶ʈʿ၅л
                    Education Fund (CEF), on the courses to be included in the   ҅౤Զਖ਼ุจԈf௶ʈʿ၅л҅ึ
                    register of reimbursable courses under the CEF.            ఱӊධ͡ሗЪ௰୞Ӕ֛f


               (c)   Performing the role of the sole assessment authority for the   (c)   աڭᎈ္ุ၍҅։ৄމ˜ڭᎈʕʧ
                    Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme under   ɛ९ሯڭᗇࠇྌ™ᒍɨ˜ܵᚃਖ਼ุ
                    the Insurance Intermediaries Quality Assurance Scheme (IIQAS)   ੃৅ࠇྌ™ٙਬɓ൙ࣨዚ࿴f
                    of the Insurance Authority.

               Assessment of Non-local Courses                            ڢ͉ήሙ೻൙ࣨ

               This year, HKCAAVQ assessed 69 new applications, 404 annual   ͉ϋ൙ᄲ҅൙ࣨə69ධڢ͉ήሙ೻ൗ̅
               returns and 227 applications for changes to registered courses.   ͡ሗd404ධմϋ͡జʿ227ධሙ೻ࡌҷ
               Compared to the previous year, the number of new applications   ٙ͡ሗfၾ̘ϋˢ༰dൗ̅͡ሗٙᅰඎ
               increased by 38%. Courses leading to bachelor and master awards   ɪʺ38%dൗ̅͡ሗٙሙ೻ᘱᚃ˸ኪɻ
               continue to be the majority in the new applications.        ኪЗʿ၂ɻኪЗሙ೻މ˴f
