               The increase in the number of applications is mainly as a result of   ኪዝ൙Пࡈࣩʘᄣషd˴ࠅ݊͟׵ԸІ
               increased numbers  of  “General  Purpose”  and  “Teacher  Registration   ࡈɛʿዚ࿴€Էν਷ყኪࣧʿ઺ԃʕː
               Purpose” applications from individuals as well as organisations such   ʘ˜ɓছ͜௄™ʿ˜઺ࢪൗ̅א઺ࢪ໌΂
               as international schools and learning centres in Hong Kong. These   ͜௄™͡ሗϞהᄣڗfவՇ၇ᗳۨٙ͡
               two types of applications aim to facilitate applicants seeking further   ሗϙί՘п͡ሗɛܵᚃආࡌʿίಥӋ
               studies and employment opportunities including local teaching   ᔖdܼ͉̍ή઺ኪᔖЗf͉ήఱุ̹ఙ
               positions in Hong Kong. The strong local employment market and   ੶ۊd˸ʿ͉ಥܵᚃᓒ࢝ٙӷͭኪࣧޢ
               the continual expansion of the private school education sector and   йʿ઺ԃʕːd͵݊͡ሗᅰͦᄣ̋ٙᗫ
               learning centres in Hong Kong are key factors that underpin the rise in   ᒟࡡΪf
               applications.

               Level and Place of Award of Qualifications                 ኪዝʘ཯બήਜ


               The majority of qualifications assessed are Bachelor’s Degrees.   ɽ௅ʱ൙П͡ሗٙኪዝމኪɻኪЗf್
               However, the numbers of Master’s Degrees/Postgraduate Diplomas/  Ͼၾ̘ϋ޴ˢd൙П͡ሗʕ˴ࠅኪዝ೻
               Certificates/Doctoral Degrees assessed had increased significantly   ܓމ၂ɻኪЗeଉி˖ኯŊᗇࣣא௹ɻ
               when compared with last year and this could be attributed to the   ኪЗٙᅰͦ׵͉ϋܓᜑഹᄣ̋fவ̙ঐ
               ability of the local economy to attract high calibre individuals to come   ݊͟׵͉ή຾᏶іˏ৷ኪዝɛɻԸಥʈ
               to and work in Hong Kong.                                   Ъٙࡡ݂f

               The United Kingdom and Mainland China remained the two major   ߵ਷ձʕ਷ʥ್݊ኪዝ൙П؂ਕʕ˴ࠅ
               source countries of awards for our assessment services. The   ኪዝ཯બ਷࢕ٙՇࡈ˴ࠅԸ๕f׵͉ϋ
               numbers of qualifications from Taiwan has also grown significantly.   ܓdԸІʕ਷̨ᝄٙኪዝᅰඎɰϞᜑഹ
               The  figures  for  Mainland  China  and  Taiwan  followed  an  established   ᄣڗfʕ਷ձʕ਷̨ᝄٙ͡ሗᅰο͵Ϊ
               trend where more and more graduates were returning to Hong Kong   ͉ήኪ͛ଭุΫಥٙᅰο˚နᄣڗf
               after their studies.

               HKCAAVQ continued to reach out to the community to enhance   ίజѓಂʫdҢࡁᘱᚃၾ΢ٟਜટᙃd
               public understanding of our principles and processes in conducting   ˸̋੶ʮ଺࿁͉҅ආБኪዝ൙Пٙࡡ
               qualifications assessment over the reporting period. Talks were   ۆձ೻ҏʘə༆fҢࡁΣʔΝܵ΅٫d
               held for various stakeholders including career masters, students   ܼ̍ఱุܸኬϼࢪeኪ͛ʿ࢕ڗᑘ፬ᑺ
               and parents. More information is also made available for students   ࢭiʿ౤Զኪዝ൙П༟ৃЇ޴ᗫ͉ٙή
               regarding qualifications assessment through study pathway   ዚ࿴ਗ਼Ϟᗫ༟ৃႡЪϓʃ̅ɿdމኪ͛
