Consultation (closed on 31 August 2017)

The consultation period ended on 31 August 2017, and we would like to express our thanks to those who have taken the time to share their thoughts, views and suggestions on the Consultation Document. All comments have been recorded and analysed for consideration by the Taskforce of the Review. We will publish a Summary of Findings setting out HKCAAVQ’s responses and the positions that will be adopted for finalising the revisions, as well as clarifying some issues raised in the consultation.

A significant portion of our accredited operators participated in the consultation via one (or more) of the three channels. These operators represent more than 96% of the qualifications on the Qualifications Register (QR) accredited by HKCAAVQ.

Percentage of accredited operators who participated in the consultation Percentage of HKCAAVQ accredited qualifications on the QR
50.3% 96.5%

We have also received a number of written submissions from QA experts and/or education/training professionals that will also be considered by the Taskforce of the Review.

The Review is now entering its formal consultation phase and will last till 31 August 2017.  The formal consultation has three channels for collecting feedback:

  • Online survey with specific questions on Part A and Part B of the Consultation Document.
  • Written submissions are invited to collect feedback in a free-text format.
  • Consultation forums are organised to collect views and comments directly from stakeholders.

These channels serve different purposes and are designed to collect different types of information.

To help us to safeguard and enhance the quality of education and training in Hong Kong, we invite you to share your views and comments on the draft revision of accreditation standards through the above channels.

How to participate in the consultation?

Other relevant parties - Invitations are being sent to ITACs, professional bodies, QAC of the UGC, and experienced quality assurance experts to provide written feedback.

All the information collected will only be used for the purpose of the Review and remains confidential. For enquiries, please contact Ms. Sarah Kwong at 3658 0225.
