Workshop on Use of QF Credit under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework

HKCAAVQ has been commissioned by the Education Bureau (EDB) to run two sessions of the Workshop on Use of QF Credit under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework in November and December 2019.

The Workshop introduces participants to the “Operational Guidelines on Use of Credit” issued by EDB in May 2019, such as definition of QF Credit, an overview of credit assignment process, and the principles on credit assessment.  To help participants to apply the principles, some observations from different sources, such as QR data, local and/or international practices, and literature, will be shared with the participants.

As credit assignment and assessment are largely dependent on professional judgment, participants will be divided into small groups and engaged in the process of credit assignment and assessment via three cases which are based on existing QF-recognised learning programmes at QF Level 5 and above.

Academic and administrative staff of both self-accrediting and non-self-accrediting institutions are welcome to attend, with priority given to those offering or intending to offer learning programmes at QF Level 5 and above. The workshop is free of charge.
