  • describe the key features of HKQF
  • explain the three key functions (QF Levels, QF Credit and Award Titles) of HKQF
  • differentiate the purposes of the different stages in the Four-stage QA Process
  • identify important characteristics of a good submission document
  • plan for accreditation by HKCAAVQ
  • compare the possible outcomes of accreditation and follow-up actions required

Workshop on Preparation for IE

Intended Learning Outcomes

At the end of the workshop, participants are expected to be able to:

  • state the purpose of IE 
  • relate the accreditation standards to the purpose of IE
  • identify appropriate evidence to substantiate meeting the relevant accreditation standards in reference to the prevailing Evidence Guide(s) or similar documents
  • self-evaluate the readiness of their institutions/organisations for undertaking IE

Workshop on Preparation for LPA and Re-LPA

Intended Learning Outcomes

At the end of the workshop, participants are expected to be able to:

 

  • state the purposes of LPA and Re-LPA
  • relate the accreditation standards to the purposes of LPA and Re-LPA
  • apply the principles of assigning QF credits and select appropriate qualification titles when developing a QF-recognised programme
  • apply the concept of constructive alignment in developing an outcome-based programme
  • understand the internal quality assurance procedures commonly adopted in QF-recognised programmes
  • identify appropriate evidence for substantiating the meeting of the accreditation standards of LPA and Re-LPA
  • self-evaluate the Operator’s readiness of undertaking LPA and/or Re-LPA
Target Participants Representatives from Operators planning to undertake LPA and/or Re-LPA for learning programmes, who have experience in programme delivery and/or development, and have basic understanding of HKQF and HKCAAVQ accreditation

Delivery Mode

 

The above training will be conducted in face-to-face mode. HKCAAVQ will review the delivery mode from time to time with respect to the training needs.

 

 

Seat Allocation

 

  1. Training places will be allocated according to the following priority:
    1. Operators who have already entered into Service Agreement with HKCAAVQ.
    2. Operators who have already submitted a Statement of Intent to HKCAAVQ.
    3. Operators who are new to HKCAAVQ accreditation. (Not applicable to the Workshop on Re-LPA)
    4. Operators with accredited learning programmes due for re-LPA in the next 12 months. (Applicable to the Workshop on Re-LPA only)
    5. Others
  2. In the event of over subscription, places will be allocated to registrants of the same allocation priority groupings on a first-come-first-served basis with a maximum of 7 for each organisation.
  3. HKCAAVQ reserves the right of final decision on the training arrangement, including allocation or non-allocation of seat.

 

 

Registration Procedures

 

  1. Complete the above Online Registration Form.
  2. A place allocation notice will be emailed to registrants within 5 working days after the deadline.
  3. Registrants follow the instructions according to the email to settle payment within a week upon receipt of our allocation notice. Failure of full payment by the deadline will be deemed to have given up their places. In such case, registrants will have to register again if they still want to register for the training.
  4. A confirmation email will be delivered to participant within 5 working days upon receipt of the full payment.

Medium of Instruction

 

To maximise utilisation of the training activities, HKCAAVQ has adopted the following arrangements:

 

  1. Training materials in both Chinese and English will be prepared as far as possible.
  2. The training activities are normally conducted in Cantonese. If there is sufficient demand (over 12), HKCAAVQ may consider providing English or bilingual (Cantonese and English) sessions.

 

 

Certificate of Attendance

 

  • An electronic-Certificate of Attendance (e-certificate) will be issued to participants who attended the workshop in full, except in the case of late arrivals or early departures exceeding 15 minutes according to the system record. The discretion to issue the e-certificate lies with HKCAAVQ.
  • The e-certificate will be emailed to the participants within 7 working days after the training. Requests for any amendment to the e-certificate must reach to HKCAAVQ (email: training@hkcaavq.edu.hk) at least 1 working day before the training. The certificate will not be re-issued once emailed.  HKCAAVQ will not be responsible for any loss of the e-certificate due to personal reasons.

Notes

 

  1. Fee Waiver:
      1. From 1 April 2018, each operator is assigned a maximum of two free seats for each of the above types of training event.
      2. For each operator, HKCAAVQ will assign the free seats sequentially according to our record. Operator cannot request to reserve the free seats for future events.
      3. HKCAAVQ reserves the right of final decision or make any changes regarding any issues related to allocation or non-allocation of free seats.
  2. HKCAAVQ reserves the right to cancel or postpone the training.  In the event of such cancellation or postponement, participants will be notified as soon as practicable, normally at least five working days before the original scheduled date of the training, if circumstances permit.
  3. Fees paid are not refundable except under the following circumstances:
      1. event cancellation due to insufficient number of enrolments; or
      2. full registration.
  4. Any refund will be made within two weeks of the scheduled date of the training and by cheque only.
  5. Registration is non-transferable.
  6. Photographing, audio & video recording are not permitted during the training.
  7. Participants are advised to read the Manual for the Four-stage Quality Assurance Process under HKQF before attending the training.
