In accordance with Section 13(2) of the HKCAAVQ Ordinance (Cap. 1150), the Permanent Secretary for Education has, under delegated authority, approved to maintain the existing fee for qualifications assessment services provided by HKCAAVQ for the coming financial year 2021/22. For financial years 2020/21 and 2021/22, the fee schedule for qualifications assessment for different purposes is as follows: For Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS) purpose: HK$3,365 (US$435) For teacher registration purpose: HK$3,130 For general purpose: HK$2,835

In order to further enhance our strategic development, Dr Christina Ng, former Head of Vocational and Professional Accreditation (VPA), would focus on her new role as Senior Registrar, Development with effect from 1 March, 2021. In the meantime, Dr Chiu Sau-mee would double-down as the Head of VPA on top of her current post of Deputy Executive Director (VPET) from 1 March, 2021 until further notice. We stand ready to render our full support to our operators and stakeholders in facilitating the continuous quality enhancement and excellence of education and training in Hong Kong and the region.

HKCAAVQ has published its Annual Report for year 2019/20. The Report, themed "From Quality Assurance to Quality Enhancement and Excellence", has outlined the HKCAAVQ’s work and activities including highlights of the year and operational review of various services of HKCAAVQ, as well as the Financial Report, from 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020. The Vocational Training Council (VTC) and the Shenzhen Polytechnic (SZPT) Framework Agreement Signing Ceremony was held online on 15 December 2020. As a long term partner of VTC, HKCAAVQ is invited to witness the signing ceremony. Executive Director of HKCAAVQ Mr Albert Chow, Deputy Executive Director (Academic) Dr Joe Hong, Deputy Executive Director (VPET) Dr Chiu Sau Mee, Senior Registrar (Development) Dr Christina Ng, Head and Registrar of Qualifications Framework and Qualifications Register Ms Anne Lau, and Head of Executive Support and Corporate Communications Ms Cindy Chan, attended the signing ceremony virtually. Ms Michelle Li Mei-sheung, Permanent Secretary for Education of the HKSAR Government delivered a speech at the ceremony, followed by speeches by Director of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, Mr LI Jinjun, and Deputy Director of the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technological Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR, Professor XU Kai. Dr Carrie Yau, Executive Director of VTC and Dr Li Yue, the Vice President of SZPT then signed the framework agreement via the online platform. The signing ceremony was also witnessed by the Chairman of VTC, Mr Tony TAI and the Secretary of Party Committee and President of Shenzhen Polytechnic, Dr YANG Xinbin. With a concrete foundation over the past 17 years, the VTC and the SZPT have been collaborating in providing the Electrical Services Stream under the Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering programme and organising student and staff exchanges. By signing the new Agreement, both parties will explore in vocational and professional education and training, including the joint development of programmes, internships and student and staff exchanges, to enrich young people’s learning experiences and prepare them to meet with the opportunities in the Greater Bay Area.
