HKCAAVQ renews Memorandum of Understanding with QAA

25 Oct 2019

HKCAAVQ is pleased to announce the renewal of its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, United Kingdom (QAA) on 25 October 2019. The renewed MoU signed by Mr Douglas Blackstock, Chief Executive of QAA, and Mr Albert Chow, Executive Director of HKCAAVQ, signifies the long-term collaborative relationship between the two established QA agencies from 2008.

QAA and HKCAAVQ have been close partners on various initiatives and cross-border quality assurance activities. With the implementation of the MoU, the partnership is expected to be even stronger, as both agencies share the common goal in terms of enhancing external quality assurance processes and practices, and improving the quality of higher education in the United Kingdom (UK) and Hong Kong. Amid the changing education and training landscape in UK and Hong Kong, QAA and HKCAAVQ will continue to strive for improved quality and recognition of the higher education in each other’s jurisdiction.

QAA was established in 1997 and is the independent body entrusted with monitoring and advising on standards and quality in UK higher education.
