The Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) and the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), the UAE’s National Accreditation Agency affiliated with the Ministry of Education, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 22 September 2020, agreeing to a new mutually supportive and collaborative framework for engagement between the two bodies.

The formalisation of this relationship will lead to greater sharing of information and collaboration on mutually agreed projects and activities.

The partnership will assist in developing transnational education, skills and vocational education in the UAE and Hong Kong SAR. It will also enable the sharing of information on the higher education sector in the UAE and the Hong Kong SAR.

Professor Mohammed Yousif Baniyas, Higher Education Advisor & CEO of the CAA said

The CAA is pleased to formalise this association with HKCAAVQ. It will act as a mechanism for sharing information to promote excellence in higher education, and support the CAA and HKCAAVQ in their development of the higher education sector on a national and international basis. This memorandum provides the basis for future collaborative work between our two organisations”.

Mr Albert Chow, Executive Director of HKCAAVQ said
