20 Aug 2017 - 27 Aug 2017

TAFE visit

HKCAAVQ delegation, led by Dr Sandra Wong, Deputy Executive Director (VPET), attended the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET) Conference and visited a public provider of education and training “Technical And Further Education (TAFE) Queensland”.

Dr. Sandra Wong, Deputy Executive Director (VPET) and Dr. Christina Ng, Head and Senior Registrar, Vocational and Professional Accreditation of the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, conducted a study trip to Australia from August 20 to 27, 2017.

During the trip, the delegation attended the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET) Conference, in which private providers in Australia offer perspectives on working together in face of the challenges of the policy changes and latest market development.

Apart from attending the Conference, the delegation also met representatives from the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) with which HKCAAVQ has a MoC, who shared their latest developments in light of their recent introduction of the new student-centred audit approach and their new fee proposal. Furthermore, they visited TAFE Queensland, a public provider, to understand more about their institutional quality assurance practices as well as their work models for apprenticeship and online learning.
