HKCAAVQ is pleased to have renewed the Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency, Australia (TEQSA). This marks the third signing of MoC between the two established agencies since 2013. Through this MoC, both agencies aim to collaborate on various initiatives for the mutual benefit in particular the quality assurance of transnational education, online education, joint accreditation and reciprocal recognition.

The signing ceremony took place on 29 November 2019 in Sydney, Australia alongside the TEQSA Conference 2019, and was officiated by Mr Albert Chow, Executive Director of HKCAAVQ, and Mr Anthony McClaran, Chief Executive Officer of TEQSA.

TEQSA was established under the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act) as the independent, national regulatory and quality assurance agency for the higher education sector in Australia. It is responsible for the registration of higher education providers; accreditation of higher education courses for providers without self-accrediting authority; quality assurance and dissemination of higher education standards and performance requirements.
