HKCAAVQ invited to Corporate Tech Academy Network (CTAN) Opening Ceremony

Corporate academies showcased latest developments and advancement of technologies to learners visiting booths after the ceremony.

To promote synergies among member corporations,  and to provide more information regarding access to Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) or upskilling in respective areas, the Corporate Tech Academy Network (CTAN) co-founded by six corporations held its Opening Ceremony on 21 May, 2019 at the HKPC Building, Kowloon Tong. As a key strategic partner of the founding member corporations, Council Chairman of HKCAAVQ, Ir Dr Alex Chan, and Executive Director Mr Albert Chow were invited to witness the extravagant event, which was officiated by Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, GBM, GBS, JP, Chief Secretary for Administration,  Mr SIT Wing Hang, Alfred, JP, Director of Electrical & Mechanical Services,  Ir Dr Hon LO Wai-kwok, SBS, MH, JP, and Dr Roy CHUNG Chi-ping, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Task Force on Promotion of Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET).

CTAN was established in October 2018 with 6 founding member corporations, namely CLP Power Academy, Hong Kong Institute of Construction, Hong Kong International Aviation Academy, MTR Academy, Towngas Engineering Academy and HKPC Academy. The Network’s mission is to promote VPET as a means of developing a skilled and qualified workforce.

Following the official launch, an exhibition cum information seminars “Road to a Bright Professional Future” was held to showcase the latest developments and advancement of technologies in the VPET sector. Much interest was received from attending guests and seminar participants.
