HKCAAVQ has recently accredited the Certificate of Knowledge in Policing Programme operated by the Police Public Relations Branch (Community Relations Bureau).

The Police Public Relations Branch (PPRB) is a formation under the command of the Hong Kong Police Force’s Support Wing. Operated by the PPRB, the Junior Police Call (JPC) Scheme is open to the youth aged 6-25 years old and has been a pivotal youth engagement and development programme under the Community Relations Bureau of PPRB since its launch in 1974.

Pitched at QF Level 3, the accredited programme is a newly developed part-time course spanning over 14 months and open for enrolment by the Junior Police Call Advanced Leaders aged between 15 to 25. The programme aims at equipping young leaders with fundamental knowledge in policing and legal system in Hong Kong.

To celebrate this important milestone, Mr Albert Chow, Executive Director of HKCAAVQ, was invited to present the Statement of Accreditation Approval (SoA) for Initial Evaluation and Learning Programme Accreditation to Assistant Commissioner of Police (Support) Ms Rebecca Lam, and Ms Yolanda Yu, Senior Superintendent (Community Relations) (Police Public Relations Branch) of PPRB at the Police Headquarters in Wan Chai, Hong Kong on 31 January 2019. At the event, Mr Chow also delivered a complimentary speech, highlighting the value of such courses in arousing the young leaders’ sense of responsibility and boosting their pursuit of leadership skills.
