Conference on Credit Transfer Practices in Higher Education: Partnership for Success

27 Nov 2020

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, in collaboration with HKCAAVQ and the Federation for Self-financing Tertiary Education (FSTE), organised the online Conference on Credit Transfer Practices in Higher Education: Partnership for Success on 27 November 2020.

The Conference is the platform to publish the findings of the UGC-funded project on Senior Year Admitted (SYA) students, as well as to exchange the views and experiences on credit transfer among local and international institutions. Speakers from Canada, The Netherlands, The United States, and local institutions shared the direction of government policy on credit accumulation and transfer (CAT), systems for managing credit recognition and transfer, and experiences in the communication among institutions or programmes under different disciplines for credit transfer. Students’ voice of their personal experience was also a valuable session in the Conference.

The Conference is the first of its kind with the focus on credit transfer. It was well received by the sector and attended by nearly 300 participants online. Both speakers and participants appreciated this platform of exchange and wish to have more similar opportunities in the future to facilitate the collaboration and communication in CAT.

Presentation materials and more photos can be found on the Conference website.
