Established in 1990, HKCAAVQ is pleased to be one of the leading quality assurance agencies and, for over 30 years, we have been serving the interests of education and training sectors locally and in the region.
HKCAAVQ started off with a modest structure in 1990 to provide independent expert advice on the quality of academic programmes of non-self-accrediting post-secondary colleges in Hong Kong. In support of the Hong Kong SAR Government's policy initiative, we are particularly pleased to having been reconstituted in 2007 and entrusted with an expanded scope of work in 2008 that include the quality assurance of higher education, as well as vocational and professional education and training (VPET) under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF).
In 2020, many people envisaged that what is happening is going to change the world permanently. And education is no exception. We, nonetheless, believe that nothing is going to change our strong commitment to quality. We are working with our stakeholders to make sure the changes made are for the better.
A number of celebrative initiatives were launched including Spring Lunch 2020, International Conference, HKCAAVQ Forum Series, and the launching of new features on the HKCAAVQ website.
