Four-stage Quality Assurance Process

The Hong Kong Qualifications Framework is supported by the Four-stage Quality Assurance Process of the HKCAAVQ, which assures both the quality of the learning programmes and the credibility of the qualifications awarded by the accredited operators.

It is a quality assurance process with four stages, i.e. Initial Evaluation (IE), Programme Validation (PV), Programme Area Accreditation (PAA) and Periodic Review (PR), through which the HKCAAVQ evaluates operators and their learning programmes under the QF. Operators that wish to have their learning programmes validated are required to present evidence that they meet the required standards as specified in the Four-stage Quality Assurance Process.
