The Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) is a statutory body responsible for quality assurance of academic and vocational qualifications to underpin the Qualifications Framework (QF). Responsibilities:
The appointee will lead accreditation projects of institutions and vocational/academic programmes; perform independent assessment and quality assurance work including assessment of CEF, CPD, non-local courses, qualifications assessment; and other projects related to quality assurance of study programmes. Major duties may include analyses of accreditation and assessment documents; acting as a member of/secretary to accreditation panels; compilation of accreditation/assessment reports; liaison with institutions, government bureaux, professional bodies; development of procedures and guidelines; research and committee work.
Requirements:
Applicants should hold at least a first degree comparable to HKQF Level 5, preferably with post-graduate training at HKQF Level 6 or above and 10 years of post-qualification relevant work experience. We are looking for individuals who have a good understanding of the education system in Hong Kong; strong analytical, project management, facilitation, presentation and communication skills; and excellent written and spoken English and Chinese. The successful candidate should be competent in working with expert panels and able to draw on a wide range of resources in making informed judgment; accept responsibility and accountability within broad parameters so as to achieve personal and group outcomes. Being proactive, reflective, independent as well as a team player is essential. Understanding of qualification standards and exposure to accreditation/quality assurance work in the vocational or higher education sector, and ability to speak Putonghua would be an advantage.

Initial appointment will normally be made on a two-year contract subject to renewal.
